At Bobo, what we put into our ice cream matters. Sourcing is at the heart of everything we do, because great ice cream begins with great ingredients. We make everything in small batches using simple, thoughtfully chosen ingredients that reflect our commitment to quality, transparency, and care.

Local Milk From Guanacaste
All of our ice cream is made with fresh local milk from Guanacaste farmers who believe in grass-fed principles and raising their cows the natural way.

No Artificial Anything
To maintain a smooth, consistent texture, we use less than .5 percent of the most natural stabilizers: guar gum and locust bean gum. We never use artificial flavors, colors, or additives.

Organic Where Possible
About 95% of our ingredients are organic. For the handful we can’t source organically just yet, we’re continually searching for the right organic suppliers.

Pasture Raised Eggs
We believe in keeping food close to nature. Our eggs come from pasture-raised hens that scratch and peck outdoors on small local farms.

Organic Cane Sugar
We use organic cane sugar that’s minimally processed and free from synthetic additives, giving our ice creams a cleaner, more natural sweetness. Choosing organic also helps us avoid the large-scale conventional sugar practices that can strain soil health and the environment.

Made With Artisanal Cacao
We use cacao from a small family farm in Hojancha, Guanacaste—hand-roasted in small batches for that true artisanal Costa Rican chocolate flavor.
